Double fifer
Last weekend, something very rare happened. Ant Stowe and Ben Waters took five wicket hauls (also known as a “fifer” or “five-for”) guiding Stonham to victory over Braintree II XI.
A half century from Scott Eade helped Stonham’s Luke Edgar and Jonny Hails comfortably chase down the final runs.
This weekend, the Saturday and Sunday sides begin their first July fixtures at home against Colchester Cavaliers and Tuddenham.
