The season’s drawing to a close

After a cracking win against top of the table side Walsham Le Willows, when Taylor Thorpe took seven wickets, the Saturday side (below) couldn’t manage the same performance against Bury St Edmunds III. A win away against Nacton on Saturday 12th will seal Division 5 cricket again for the 1st XI next season.

Meanwhile after a fun President’s XI v Chairman’s XI friendly match, the second eleven (below) resumed action against bottom of the table Tendring Park. Another well-spirited game saw Stonham cruise to victory chasing 153, losing only two wickets. A win at the weekend in their last game of the season could even give the Sunday side a small chance of promotion!
