Chairman’s winter message
At the time of writing these notes it feels as if winter is never going to end and, as is often the case, the ground has soaked up so much water that there is little chance of doing the pre-season work any time soon.
Could this be the year to hold The Earl Stonham Mud Race?
There is plenty to look forward to this season with a number of local clubs in the same division of The Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Cricket Championship as our Saturday side and the Sunday XI now up into Division Three of the Hunts County Bats Suffolk Cricket League.
We have practice sessions booked at the Ipswich School’s indoor facility on Sundays March 4th to April 8th (excluding Easter Sunday), 4pm-5.30pm. If you would like to come to the nets please contact any of the numbers below for further details, or to organise a lift.
As ever we would love to find some to new players and will guarantee a warm welcome to anyone who is interested in playing cricket at Earl Stonham.
Trevor Spall, Hon. Chairman, ESCC
