2017 Season News

Chairman’s mid-season message

We’re halfway through the season already.

As ever there have been ups and downs and the Saturday Two Counties side has been struggling to take enough wickets to close out matches despite posting some very respectable totals. A run of three wins in a row seemed to suggest that we were improving but recent defeats have left us in the lower half of the league table.

Is there a Jimmy Anderson or Stuart Broad out there to come to our assistance?

Meanwhile the Sunday XI is engaged in a struggle at the top of Division 4 of the Hunts Cricket league where four sides are separated by fractions of points. Sam Fenning and Jake Dye are currently in the top ten batsmen in the league and the skipper, Luke Edgar, is in the top five for fielding. There could be exciting times ahead.
