Chairman’s mid-August message

Pride of place in recent results goes to the Sunday XI who were the first side to beat Stowupland 2nd XI in about two years, led by an unbeaten half century from skipper Luke Edgar. A great result much enjoyed by all involved.

Colin Macrow (below) also put in a terrific performance the previous Sunday with the club’s second century of the season at Woolpit. Maturing nicely, Colin!

The Saturday side are in need of a win after a difficult few weeks but it is in their own hands and we are confident that they will gain the points to keep their place in Division 5.

The President’s Game will take place on Sunday 30th August with the Player family, fresh from a wedding on Saturday, again supporting the occasion. Vice-Presidents, young players, dads and some ‘senior pros’ will make up the teams for this traditional fixture played as a Double T20 game.
