Two high-scoring victories

The Saturday side beat Bury St Edmunds III convincingly by 173 runs! The opening batsmen, Stephen Lewis and Charlie Tunstall, got Stonham off to a solid start, and the batting continued to produce runs throughout the innings. A partnership between Simon and Luke Edgar ended the innings nicely leaving Stonham on 223 for eight wickets. Taylor Thorpe and Scott Hornsby bowled extremely economically helping Charlie strike again, dispatching seven of Bury’s batsmen. Also, after recently losing badly to local rivals Stowupland, the Sunday side bounced back by winning against Tendring Park by more than 100 runs.
