Chairman’s pre-season message
It hardly feels like cricket weather at the moment and yet our first fixture is less than three weeks away!
However there are some signs of Spring:
- The ground is being prepared by Simon and some mowing has been a done during the recent drier spell.
- Pre-season nets have taken place at Bury’s splendid new indoor facility and some players have invested in new equipment.
- Jonny’s dad has transformed the appearance of the roller.
- And there are mole-hills at the edge of the outfield.
We are continuing to work on providing new changing facilities at the Playing Field and are tantalisingly close to being able to go ahead as planning permission has been received – more news soon on this project, I hope.
With teams in Division 5 of the Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Cricket Championship and Division 4 of the Hunts County Bats Suffolk Cricket League we have plenty of cricket to look forward to.
New members would be made most welcome.
